About
Made by someone who’s bombed,
for everyone who will.
Stand.app started as one comic’s fix for a very specific problem: forty jokes across three notes apps, two napkins and a voice memo, and no idea which of them actually worked last Tuesday.
The comic
Stand.app is built by a working stand-up comedian who also writes software, in that order of enjoyment and the reverse order of hours. Every guide on this site is written from the open-mic side of the room: what a tag is, why the five bombed, how to build a ten that holds. Stand.app is the tool they wanted at the back of the club and couldn’t find, so they built it.
The guides are opinionated on purpose. Where they describe the app, they describe what it actually does today, not a roadmap.
The app
Stand.app, listed in the app stores as Stand-Up Writer, keeps jokes in a vault with tags, folders and ratings, builds timed sets, logs shows, tracks which jokes kill or bomb, and punches up material with AI. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web, and the core of it is free.
It is made and published by Kalrom Systems Ltd. Questions, bugs, and “it would be nice if” go to support@stand.app and are read by a person.
